Bike Types & Features (Introduction)


The right bicycle is important. It allows you to be comfortable, ride safely, and work effectively. It makes you a better rider.


Although bicycles of many different types and configurations can be successfully ridden 100 miles, certain types and certain features will make the going a lot easier. Bicycle fit—how to adjust your bicycle—is discussed in a separate handout.
